Project Overview

SmartLiving Inc. approached MHTechFusion to develop a comprehensive smart home automation solution that would allow homeowners to control and monitor various aspects of their homes remotely. The client needed a scalable, secure, and user-friendly system that could integrate with existing smart devices while providing a unified control interface.

Our Solution

Custom IoT Hub

We developed a central IoT hub using Raspberry Pi that serves as the brain of the smart home system, connecting and controlling all smart devices.

Mobile Application

A cross-platform mobile application built with React Native provides users with an intuitive interface to control their smart home from anywhere.

Cloud Platform

A robust AWS-based cloud platform handles device management, data storage, and enables advanced features like automation rules and analytics.

Security Framework

End-to-end encryption, secure authentication, and regular security audits ensure that the smart home system remains protected from potential threats.

Technical Implementation

The system architecture consists of three main components:

IoT Hub: A custom-built hub using Raspberry Pi 4 running specialized firmware that communicates with smart devices using various protocols (Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth).
Cloud Platform: AWS IoT Core for device management, DynamoDB for data storage, Lambda functions for business logic, and API Gateway for secure API endpoints.
Mobile Application: A React Native application with Redux for state management, featuring real-time updates, device control, automation rules, and energy consumption analytics.
